hi there,

I installed the mobile office 5.7 beta 1 and tried set up the web service
admin API. When I invoke the web service test page, the iis report can't
load the xxxx.dll. I check the system configuration, and I found the mo
installation didn't set the mobile office/bin directory in the PATH
environment variable, so the mobile office web service can't find the dll.
when you set the mobile office/bin directory in the system's PATH
environment variable, all will be ok.

Thanks!

Nan Wang

Hello Nan,

It is correct that the system path is not automatically updated. The
requirement to update the path system variable is noted in the Admin Web
Service API Reference documentation.

The installation of the iAnywhere Mobile Office Admin web service and Mobile
Office Sample Admin Web site currently requires the Administrator to
manually create virtual directories in IIS. For the current version, the IIS
server hosting the Mobile Office admin web service must run on the same
machine as the Mobile Office server. ASP.Net 2.0 is required to run the
Mobile Office admin web service. ASP.Net 2.0 and ASP.Net AJAX Extensions 1.0
or above are required to run the admin sample web site. The actual path may
be different depending on the Mobile Office installation configuration. To
configure the Admin Web Service, implement the following four steps.

1) Update the Path System Variable
1. Open the Control Panel and double-click on the System icon.

2. Click the Advanced tab and click the Environment Variables button.

3. In the System variables window, double-click the Path item and add
the following path in the Variable value field: C:\Program Files\iAnywhere
Mobile Office\Bin

4. Click the OK buttons.
