Use ModifiedCount() can do it.

I made a mistake of newsgroup ... :P

AFAIK, you can check the modified rows in UPDATE TRIGGER, use @@rowcount in update trigger can return the number of modified rows.

dbcc checktable on a table returns information about
how many deleted, forwarded rows, etc. the table has
and how much space could be garbage collected.
