Hi,

I am currently testing the beta connecting to both Gmail and Hotmail and via
POP3 / SMTP and discovered that emails from Gmail are delivered to the
client usually within 30 secs of the mails reaching the inbox while emails
from Hotmail typically take much longer to be delivered. I believe the
polling interval is defaulted to 30 secs which is pretty much in line with
the Gmail push performance but was wondering if there is a setting on
Hotmail that was preventing mails from being pushed out promptly. I
understand that this is probably outside of the scope of MO but I have a
partner who is also evaluating the beta on their own POP3 email system and
there is significant delay in the emails being delivered to the MO client
and it would be good if I have a reason to push the blame to the mail
provider.

Justin,

Following is the response to this similar question asked previously...
Yes, there is a registry setting for the poll interval. Values are under the
following key.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Extended Systems\OneBridge Sync Server\]

Within the Listener, there is the REG_DWORD for PollInterval.

Regarding stress test data, our load/performance test results are based on
the default setting. If this value is maintained or increased, the 1,000
user maximum can be supported. If this value is decreased, it could have a
negative impact on the number of users that can be supported per Mobile
Office server machine.
