I would like to crate a datawindow that allways has the same values, for
example a list of countries with the abreviation. I need the find
function and the sort function.

How is this programmatically solved? Create a text file and import that
requires to deliver a text file to the customer. I would like to prevent
that. Now we use an array in which we put the standard values but then
we can't use a find function.

Thanks
Eric

You can save a data with DW definition.
Are you planning and data modifications?
BTW.
Could you let us know PB version/build?

PB 11.5

I don't expect that the columns will change. We might want to add more
columns to keep the list up to date.

Thanks
Eric

just add the data at design time. save the datawindow, and the data is saved with it.

Hi Eric;

1) Create an External DW with the column(s) you need.
2) In the DATA pane, add your fixed data entries
3) In the same pane, use the RHMB and select "Share".
4) Save the new DWO.

Now every time you have DC.DataObject = "Ext DWO" the DWO and data will be
loaded all at once. Also, if you use the Ext. DWO for a DDDW - the data will
be there for the lookup.
