We found an abnormal issue that the WM6.1 Professional client would crash
after doing "kill pill". Only hard-reset the device can bging the device
back.

What happened is that the device would not start after "kill pill". We have
tried 3 types of WM6.1 Professional device. All are the same. The devices
could not auto restart. Only when manually hard reset the device restarted.

Hello Jencheng,
The behavior of kill pill that you have described is working as expected.
Following is the information in the Help file...

Results on Windows Mobile and Symbian Devices
Upon receiving a Kill Pill command on signed Windows Mobile clients, the
Kill Pill code first deletes all files that it can from any mounted SD card,
and then performs a hard reset. For signed Symbian devices such as Nokia
Series 60 3rd edition, the hard reset should work fully. In many cases, a
Windows Mobile device will not fully hard reset by itself, but will be left
in such a state that it must be hard reset manually to be used at all. Even
if the device is not properly reset by the kill signal, it will be unable to
get a useful connection to the server.

For Symbian UIQ 3 clients, the standard hard reset may not work, and a
manual hard reset may be necessary. When the hard reset does not work,
Mobile Office will do the following to clear the data:

1. Clear the Contacts, Tasks, Calendar, Inbox, Outbox and Sent Items data
stores.

2. Delete the Contacts cache file used by CorpDir.

3. Delete all configuration settings.

4. Stop logging and remove the persistent log file.

5. Delete local Mobile Office data and shut down the Mobile Office client
processes.
