Hello

We're in the process of moving from Powerbuilder 8 to Powerbuilder 11.5 and
it has generally been going very smoothly. However one of our regular
format strings isn't working as expected, nor as 11.5 documentation
suggests.

We use format strings like #,##0.00;(#,##0.00) a fair bit, and it looks like
this is still supported.
However instead of using the () instead of a minus sign, it fails to do so.
Odder yet it doesn't seem to be entirely consistent, e.g. 0.00%;(0.00%)
works in the same DW.

In another dw this fails #,##0;[red](#,##0)
Once again though it seems this should work as expected in PB11.5

Any suggestions? It's an odd one, I was unable to find any reference to
this on the Sybase site so far.

Sounds like an unadulterated bug.

Please submit a bug report on Case Express.

http://case-express.sybase.com/cx/welcome.do

If you have a support contract you'll also be able to get it prioritized.

This problem was in both 11.2 and 11.5.1 and is fixed in the
following builds:

Powerbuilder 11.5.1 build 4571
Powerbuilder 11.2 build 8855

So look for the next ebfs with that build number or higher.

Thanks for your responses -

Chris, yes we are caught up with 11.5.1 Build 4566

Ted, I'm unable to find 4571 anywhere... is this available yet, and if so,
where?
And if not, when? :)

Thanks,
Craig

We have also found the the format "#,###.00000" will display the number
123.45678 as 123.00000
We have to go back and change them all to "#,##0.00000" which works as
expected.

Is this a bug? It used to work before 8869 was installed - we were
with 8669. Do I need to install the previous patch 8806 to fix this?
