When register a new user with a device which doesn't sync Journal and
user gets activated I can see in the log error messages that e.g.
Journal is not available (in case user doesn't have it on the server)
but I cannot disable it later as this option is not available in
user/device settings (it disappears or at least I cannot see it). How to
resolve it?
thanks, Pavel

Hello Pavel,

Journal is specific to Domino. Under Edit Device Settings for a specific
user, there is a section "Domino" with "Sync iNotes Journal" with a setting
of True or False.

I'm sorry for lack of provided info - I know this option - but iNotes
Sync options for PNAB and Journal are disabled as we use a separate PNAB
and Journal...
There are special sections ('Contacts' for PNAB and 'Memo' for Journal)
but when I register a device with no Journal synchronization it looks
section Memo disappears (but Journal related errors still appear in the
log)...
thanks a lto, Pavel

Hello Pavel,

Here's the response from the engineer...
Memo is only supported on PPC mobile devices. After the device connects to
the server and we know the device type admin hides Memo for unsupported
devices.

Options available:

* Customer should register the device with PIM store disabled.

* Directly edit the CFG_PROP_VALUES table to disable the PIM store.

* Modify the listener to automatically disable PIM stores that aren't
supported for the device.

* Add new module to "clean up" settings once the device type is known.

* Add an option to admin to show all properties to allow the customer to
disable unsupported PIM stores.

Regards,

Diane

Hello DIane,
thanks a lot - currently we can work with scenarion number one but it
would be great if something like 3 (Modify the listener to automatically
disable PIM stores that aren't supported for the device.) and 5 (* Add
an option to admin to show all properties to allow the customer to
disable unsupported PIM stores) can be implemented... (point 5 for the
situation when (after a patch or upgrade) is functionality extended to
sync Journal as well :-) )
thanks a lot, pavel
