Hi All,
I cannot seem to turn off the print preview property for a dw in the DW
Painter. The "Print Preview" option on the File menu is checked, but it is
also disabled so I can;t change it. This only happens on a few of the many
datawindows we have. Any ideas?

PB 11.2 Build 8869

TIA,
Mike

Nevermind. I believe I have found the solution. If the DW has a nested
report on it, it automatically turns on the print preview property and does
not allow you to turn it off. I'm not sure why, but that appears to be the
answer.

I'm not sure why either, but that's how it is and has been since at least
PB3. My guess is that the DW engine would have too much trouble keeping
track of the buffers and update status for an arbitrary number of nested
layers, so data modification just isn't allowed. I was told that in the
Mastering the DW class, but I didn't find it during a quick search of the
Help.
