Hi, I have this SELECT:

Me._commandCollection(0).CommandText = "SELECT MWPAT.*" & _
Global.Microsoft.VisualBasic.ChrW(13) &
Global.Microsoft.VisualBasic.ChrW(10) & _
"FROM MWPAT" & _
Global.Microsoft.VisualBasic.ChrW(13) &
Global.Microsoft.VisualBasic.ChrW(10) & _
"WHERE ([Chart Number] = :g_select_chart)"

This statement works great whem instead of :g_select_chart I am hardcoding.

When I use :g_select_chart, I am getting this error on statements after
SELECT :
Me.Adapter.SelectCommand = Me.CommandCollection(0)
Dim returnValue As Integer = Me.Adapter.Fill(dataTable)
************** ERROR ***************************
Error 7200: AQE Error: State = 07002; NativeError = 2141; [iAnywhere
Solutions][Advantage SQL Engine]Parameter missing AdsCommand query
execution failed.
*************************************************

Can you please tell me what is wrong with WHERE from the fiels vs hardcode.

Thanks.

Did you set the parameter?

Something like Me.Adapter.SelectCommand.Parameters.Add()?

Yes I did.
maybe I missedsome parameters because it is not working:

......."e 2], [Diagnosis Code 3], [Diagnosis Code 4], [Date Modified],
[Frequency_Type]," & _
" [Facility] FROM [::this].[MWCLA] WHERE [Claim Status 1] = :status"

g_str = "1"

Me._commandCollection(0).CommandType =
Global.System.Data.CommandType.Text
Me._adapter.InsertCommand.CommandType =
Global.System.Data.CommandType.Text
Dim param As Global.Advantage.Data.Provider.AdsParameter = New
Global.Advantage.Data.Provider.AdsParameter
param.ParameterName = "status"
param.Value = g_str
param.Size = Len(param.Value)
Me._adapter.InsertCommand.Parameters.Add(param)

Please help

I corrected:
Me._adapter.UpdateCommand.Parameters.Add(param)
for
Me._adapter.SelectCommand.Parameters.Add(param)

Still does not work.

Hi Linda,

The only other thing I can think of was this FROM clause in the SQL
statement.
Try changing "[::this].[MWCLA]" to just "[MWCLA]"
