We have a 255-character column in a datawindow that gets chopped off when
displayed on the screen in Print Preview mode. The column is not chopped
off if Print Preview is turned off or when the datawindow is printed using
the print function. I would expect that Print Preview is what you see is
what you print, but it is not.

The column is autosized as is the detail band. I tried putting a line
object with slide up underneath the column but that did not resolve it. I
think this is some kind of printer driver issue. Any thoughts? PB 11.5.

Is it being chopped off vertically (not all lines are printing) or
horizonatlly (not all words are printing on a single line)?
We have had this issue in the past where the text was being chopped
vertially. We resolved this by unsig the Verdana font instead of Arial.

Hope this helps.
Mike

I had last line/vertical issues with an external dw and resolved it by
changing the fonts like Mike said

We are using Arial throughout our humongous application. Not an option to
change the font, but thanks for the suggestion.

It's a vertical issue, not horizontal like the you one you posted Mike.

I think what we'll end up doing is allowing the user to toggle Print Preview
on/off. Currently it displays in Print Preview mode since their intention
is to print. But allowing them to turn Print Preview off seems to resolve
the issue. We surely have this issue in a bunch of datawindows.

you can use pblpeeper to change fonts - which is what we did in our humongous application.
took one person about a day to do, plus some additional clean up work.

You can find PBL Peeper at
http://www.techno-kitten.com/PBL_Peeper/pbl_peeper.html There is a lot of
other excellent PB information at that site.
PBL Peeper is freeware, but the author encourages users to make a charitible
donation in his name if they find it useful.
