I'm having the same issue, and viewing the status on the
server it appears test emails are not being pushed until I
open ianywhere on the iphone.

Do both of you have push enabled on the server template? If so, for your
registered users, do you show any items pending in your Admin Console?

When you initially setup your users, there'll be alot of data that has to be
sent to the user. Depending on your template, there will likely be at least
a week worth of email, along with contacts, calendar items and tasks.
Additionally, a request needs to be sent to the client, for the user's
approval, to enable push. Apple won't let us just turn it on without the
user's approval. Until you see a message on the client saying "iAnywhere
has requested to enable push notifications, would you like to accept?" or
something similar, Push hasn't been successfully enabled.

If all that has taken place, let me know, and we'll take the next step.

Yes our users have push enabled on the template. And the
user get the question about approving push notifications and
does so, then those choices is added to the menus for
"on/off".

In the admin gui the iphones, doesn't show as online.
It goes offline after some time when the users exits the
client on the phone.

So that's good. THe other thing you might want to do is select one of the
user's that's not working and Click "Edit Settings". Under the Apple Push
Notifications section of the user, you should see a value for APNS Device
Token. If you don't see a value there, it may be that you are unable to get
out to the Apple Push Notification Service - this is what we leverage for
push.

If you have ports 2195 and 2196 open to the internet then this shouldn't be
a problem. Mobile Office attempts to communicate using a secure web service
to Apple at the following addresses:

gateway.push.apple.com port 2195

feedback.push.apple.com port 2196

Let me know once you've checked those settings and we'll move on to the next
thing!
