i am experiencing a few issues in the Application> Mobile

message etc however I see these messages. There are no
mailbox size limits on these users also.

How do I further troubleshoot these messages?

Unable to update Inbox record on Exchange.

Error: Attempt to create a new record during Inbox sync

or

Unable to update Outbox record on Exchange.

Error: Could not save or send message. Bad address or
mailbox is full.

Hi Nathan,

the error "Error: Could not save or send message. Bad address or mailbox
is full." usually is a rights problem. This user will be missing the
"Send as" rights.

Please recheck the documentation as the "Send As" rights need to be set
on AD level if I recall correctly.
And keep in mind, that the policy for the domain admin group does deny
this right.

I think there will be some previous posts to this topic as it is a very
common issue. Maybe the other posts reveal more info.

Hope this helps,
Dirk

Hi Dirk

Have checked rights in AD and Exchange and looks ok. People
having issues have Nokia 6121s. All their send as rights
are the same as the people using iphones, and iphones seem
to work no probs. Also got a nokia person registered on a
iphone all ok too.

I've registered all users (iphone / symbian) off the same
default template. Is there something different I need to do
for symbain devices?

Hi Nathan,

that is indeed strange. Two things

1. If the users check out fine with a different device type, than it
looks like a device issue.

2. The device is not on the tested device list. But the previous device
6120 is, so I would expect no trouble. Unless Nokia or the carrier
branding screwed something up.

In any case I think you will need to get iAnywhere support to
investigate. This sounds out of scope for this newsgroup.

Sorry,
Dirk

hi

I've just registered a Nokia 6120c AP25.05 - which is on the
supported list of devices. And it's getting the same error
in ianyserver -

Unable to update Outbox record on Exchange
Error: Could not save or send message, Bad address or
mailbox is full.

Have double checked AD and Exchange rights as per docs.

Hi Nathan,

this probably needs to go to our support team. Please check with our
sales or a pre-sales contact. They should be able to get you in touch
with the support team.

Cheers,
Dirk

Hi Dirk

Looks like for Nokias the need organisation AD send as
rights.
Not so for the iphones. Sorry for the run around.
