I am cbeen hallenged to create the attached report in PB 11.5. The 1st 6
lines is the header. The remaining is the detail. I've created a tabular DW
with newspaper columns. I have a Group that I create a new page on break
and it is doing a good job. The columns and rows can grow. Is there a way
to resize the columns based on the number of characters in the field per
group? I would say the max number of columns would be 4 to page. Plus I
have to include the sketch on the printout. I've got other reports with
sketches. I'm just not sure how I would go about placing it on this type of
report. Just hoping someone has done something similar.

Thanks

Mike

I had a similar issue with text blowing up crosstabs...... If all the values
I see on your report are an "industry standard" so to speak and the reports
are for internal use you could really gain alot of real estate by employing
abbreviations everywhere. I didn't just use left(value, 4) but gave the
users the ability to map whatever abbreviation they wanted to each of the
broad values. It ended up I knew exactly how many cols in width would be
occupied and they could still interpret the reports with ease.
But, as I said this really only works for internal use only, anyone outside
the circle wouldn't know what everything meant...discuss it with your
clients and they may like the idea.

Hi Mike;

Looks to me like an easy Tabular (with line objects) or Grid DW style
should do the rick. Then place the picture in the "foreground" layer (not
the data layer).
