Hi! I'm running the installations scripts for 12.5.0.3 and I
can't find instdbcdb in the sybase\scripts folder. I see
installdbccdb but since we're using windows the installation
instructions says I need instdbcdb.

Do I need it? Where can I get it? Can I skip it? What would
happen if I do?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

'instdbcdb' is the old name (pre-12.5.0.3) for the script used to configure the dbcc database.

'installdbccdb' is the new name (12.5.0.3+) for the script used to configure the dbcc database.

NOTE: I *think* 12.5.0.3 was the version where the script name changed.

Do you need it? Yes, *IF* you wish to use the dbccdb database.

What happens if you skip it? You won't be able to use the dbccdb database.
