Hi Experts,

Is there any one who have met this problem when server is
15.0.0.3? Is this an known problem or a potential bug of
sybase? Seems 15.0.0.0 has no such problem.

1> SELECT A0.CHARCOL , A0.INTCOL , A1.C0, A0.DEC62COL ,
A0.FLOATCOL FROM (j15user1 .FPCO_S1_TT12 A0 LEFT OUTER JOIN
(SELECT A2.INTCOL C0, A2.DEC62COL C1, '1' C2 FROM j15user1
.FPCO_S1_TT12 A2)A1 ON (A0.SMINTCOL =A1.C1)) WHERE (A1.C2 IS
NULL)
2> go
ASE is terminating this process.
1>

Thanks!

Hello,

Not sure about the exact version you are using (please post the
@@version string). If you are running 15.0.3 ESD2, your stack trace /
SQL text might be related to CR 592395. Try out the set
compatibility_mode on / off around your query

Regards,
Laurent

It doesn't help. Below is history:

=> sdl1 -Dsybasedb1 -Usa -Ppassw0rd
<
1> sp_configure 'enable compatibility mode',1
2> go
WARNING: Enabling compatibility mode will not affect the
query plans already
stored in the procedure cache.
WARNING: The configuration option 'histogram tuning factor'
is configured with
value '20', which is not the default value in ASE 12.5. This
may lead to
different accuracy of statistics and different query plans.
Parameter Name Default Memory Used
Config Value
Run Value Unit Type
------------------------------ ----------- -----------
------------
------------ -------------------- ----------
enable compatibility mode 0 0
1
1 switch dynamic

(1 row affected)
Configuration option changed. ASE need not be rebooted since
the option is
dynamic.
Changing the value of 'enable compatibility mode' to '1'
reduces the amount of
memory ASE uses by 82 K. The reduced memory may be reused
when this configure
value changes, but will not be released until ASE restarts.

2> go
ASE is terminating this process.

Thanks!
