Hi,

Is there a simple way/tool to downgrade a datawindow?
I have some functionality I need to port to another app in a lower version
of powerbuilder

Thanks,
Mathieu

Depends on what "functionality" you're talking about. Certain features are
just not available in earlier versions (like gradients/transparencies...)

If the feature is supported, you can simply cut/paste from one version to
the other.

Basically, export the DW and strip out the new features. The easiest way to
find those, is by creating an identical dw in both versions of PB and then
comparing the source.

Yep, create the DW in the older version, open and save it in the newer
version, then compare the syntax.

Then some simple find and replaces in any text editor should be enough
to go the other way.

Thanks,

That's exactly what I did.
