Hi,folks!

I tried to install jar in ase and got such message:
Msg 10795, Level 16, State 1:
The file 'Test.class' contained in the jar does not
represent a valid Java class file.

I'm using ase 12.5.4 64-bit esd#10 on rhel 5.3 64-bit.
jar was compiled in NetBeans 6.7.1 with jdk 1.2
Test.class looks as folows:

public class Test implements java.io.Serializable{

public static String getName(){

return "Patric";
}
}

I also couldn't install jar examples that was provided by
sybase from it's example directory.
Any suggestions?

I was ok with this. I am not sure what your problem was. I created a
jar like this:

sunbeam@/usr/u/janders/java/1.2-> jar -cvf0 Test.jar Test.class
added manifest
adding: Test.class(in = 293) (out= 293)(stored 0%)

I added the class like this:

installjava -f /tmp/Test.jar -new -Sjaylinux_125x -Usa -P -Dtest

I added a SQLJ function like this:

1> create function jTest() returns varchar(20) language java parameter
style java external name 'Test.getName()'
2> go
1> select jTest()
2> go
