Hello,

We have a tables size varies from 10GB to 20GB and its bit
fragmented, allpages locking. To defragment the same
planning to go for change of lock scheme. Would anyone help
us how much free space is required in a database to change
the lock scheme from allpages to datapages.

No indexes on these tables expect Primary key constraints.

Does 100% free space is enough.

Thanks.

If you do one table at a time, then you'll need free space equal to the
space used by the largest table.

Changing the locking scheme also means that clustered indexes will require a
bit more space since there are now leaf pages to allocate. Also, the page
header for datapages locking is larger, so it may take more pages to store
the same number of rows.

See, sp_estspace procedure for sizing estimates.
