Good afternoon, all!
I'm trying to install the mobile office client to a new
Sprint HTC Touch Pro 2 running Windows Mobile 6.1
Professional. The downloader gave the correct version of
Windows, but when I went to execute the cab, I got the error
"Theis file not intended for this device." This model is OK
according to the HCL.
What else might cause this error?
Thanks!
Gregg
Hi Gregg,
this sounds like the downloader did not give you the correct CAB file
after all. Could you please check what was displayed in the download window?
Or it could be a simple file corruption, caused by a connection drop or
something like this.
In both cases, I think it makes sense to try the download again. You may
need to clear the browser cache other wise the beloved IE might serve
you the same corrupted file from cache again.
Alternatively you can do the download via your desktop PC and transfer
the CAB via SD-Card or ActiveSync or the like to the device. Then open
the file explorer and tap on the CAB file for manual installation.
Oh, we are talking about a download from
http://www.getmobileoffice.com correct?
Cheers,
Dirk
