Using formats in expressions for displaying amounts as currencies, we must have the ability to display various symbols as well as
characters in the amount format.
For example, the following is for the Bahraini Dinar:

\B\D\ #,##0.00##

Note the \ is used to inform the datawindow that the character following the backslash should be displayed. It does not work in
appeon - it displays the \

We also use this technique to add words next to the amounts, for example:

\B\a\l\a\n\c\e\:\ #,##0.00
will display for the amount: 382.64
PB: Balance: 382.64
but in Appeon it shows: \B\a\l\a\n\c\e\:\ \0382.64

Hi M. Searer,

I'm sorry to let you know that Appeon doesn't support this
format at the moment. I recommend you use the expression of
compute is "'balance: ' +string(x,'#,##0.00')" to work
around this issue.

Regards,
Steven

thanks for the suggestion/work around.
Do you happen to know whether this is something that is being addressed in a future release?

The prospect of rewritting hundreds of datawindows and other parts of the sytem to get around this limitation is rather daunting and
is not really feasible.
