Hi what is vdevno for? When using disk init command, i often
see in sybase books that it is included? Will it be ok if i
don't use it during disk init commands? thanks

vdevno determines which disk this refers to - in older versions of Sybase
you had to specify it, but it could in fact be determined from other
information, and so is now optional.

So no, you don't need to specify it when creating a new disk device.
