sp_depends will give you dependencies of an object only
within the database.

how do you check for dependencies of an object in all
databases in the dataserver?

appreciate the feedback.

Unfortunately, you cannot. The dependency mechansim works only within
the scope of a single database. There's nothing you can do about it,
I'ma fraid....

You can search the other database syscomments table looking for the table name in question.

use OtherDB
go
select distinct object_name(id)
from syscomments
where text like "%ReferencedObject%"
go

this is a 99% solution to answer your needs.
