I have got a task to examine is there any delete operation
on an ASA database. Through odbc, the database used by a
application, which has no operation log mechanism. It looks
like ASA's transaction log would be the only clue. I don't
have any experience with Sybase database. Can anyone give
some advise?

You can use the DBTRAN tool to translate a transaction log into a sql
command file.
This can be done against a log of a non-running database via
dbtran c:\MyDb.log c:\MyDb.sql
or against a running database via
dbtran -c <Your connetion string> -n C:\MyDb.sql
or with the Translate Log File Wizard in Sybase Central.

Have a look at the docs (for SA 11.0.1):

Volker's reply is not showing up in my reader so I'll post a reply too.
You're looking for the "dbtran" utility. If you need to get a copy of a
transaction log that is in use by a server, you can use dbbackup to get one.
