i notice it is really quiet around Workspace, advertised as
the future of development. Is Sybase still working on this

We are more and more in need of a good IDE for SQL
development, but we want a tool that is still evolving.
Based on the current Workspace, there a two major factors
why we don't use it any more

1. Speed: Workspace is really slow compare to other IDE's
(for example Aqua Studio). Especially executing multiple
statements at once and autocompletion (o yeah,
autocompletion works fine on a small database). This is
really slowing down our development...

2. Executing stored procedures that is selecting something
and executing an raiserror after gives: JZ006: Caught
IOException: JZ0EM: End of data, no
result is shown. We hit this problem a lot. I already posted
this problem on the forum. (btw, Aqua Studio is showing the
selects, and the raiserror)

So, before giving up on Workspace, i want to know what the
current status is on this product, maybe its worth waiting a
while and maybe these problems will be fixed in the future.
With these two problems solved, Workspace will become
interesting again for us (we still like the debugging

Its gone quite because Sybase decided to start charging for it.
When it was free it was worth using, but now we use Eclipse with plugins.
Its not really a question of the cost, but more the hassle of going through our procurement procedures.
