Hello,

One of our customers is using "Sybase.Data.AseClient" to connect to ASE. But
when executing long queries they get timeout. Is there a way to set "command
timeout" parameter (not the "connection timeout") in this driver.

Thanks in advance.

What sort of code are you using? The ADO.NET API provides CommandTImeout
property.

I suspect you're hitting 30 second default.

Can you provide more details? Exact version of Provider? What sort of
application you're using?

Thank you,

-Paul

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. What our customer uses is below:

Sybase.Data.AseClient
Runtime Version : v1.1.4322
Version : 1.1.327.0

They are using Visual Studio and developing a desktop project which requires
connection to ASE. They don't want to use ODBC. In an ODBC connection they
don't get the timeout error when running the SQL command however.
