Hi All,

we have one view consisting of 8-9 base tables, if we add
one more column say id in view column list , view takes lot
of time , but if we remove that column (id) view just works
fine , any idea why it is happening?

your help is appreciated

My guess would be that there is no decent covering index for the added
column and the plans now include scans to retrieve the data from the
base tables.

Sometime the additional data might just push you past packet
boundaries and the tcpnodelay setting might come into play but I would
be looking for big differences in the "plans" before this.
