Hi Sarelis,

our iMO client does not interfere with the other mail accounts as far as
I know. Please check the regular iPhone support resources on the net.

Make sure you users are aware that they will be in for trouble if they
synchronize contacts from more than one source. So I recommend to only
use iMO or some thing else but not both.
For emails this is no problem due to the separate data store in our
sandboxed client.

Cheers,
Dirk

Hello,
Thank You Dirk for your answer, but the thing is:

we are using iAnywhere and our corporate email account on
iPhone OS4. We are getting emails to iPhone from our
company Lotus notes users, no emails sync to iPhone from
outside (other companies, yahoo, gmail..etc.) to the same
account.
Calendars, contacts sync well, but the biggest problem at
this moment is how to get emails which were send to us from
others ISP to iPhone. In Lotus Notes we can see all
messages, but messages from other ISP on iPhone are missing.
We are not talking about other accounts (gmail, hotmail or
etc.) we are
talking about 1 account on iPhone and Lotus Notes.

How many and which ports iPhone, DMZ proxy server and
iAnywhere Mobile
Office communicates between each other? At this moment we
are using 5001.

Hope to get quick answer
Best regards

Hi Saleris,

let me rephrase your problem to make sure I understood things correctly:

You have not setup the iPhone to connect and pull emails from other
providers like googlemail, hotmail etc.

Your iPhone get's the LotusNotes emails and PIM email data via the iMO
server from the Lotus Domino backend.

Those emails are only the emails received by the Domino System directly.

Questions:
1. How do those emails get to the Notes Client? I expect the user
configured the notes client to poll them from the internet?

2. Where in the Notes client are the emails located/displayed? Are they
in the same inbox as the other Lotus Notes emails?

I expect that the POP2/IMAP emails you are polling are not in the Lotus
Notes client inbox with all the other notes emails?

Please understand that our system does sync the notes data inside the
Inbox based on the notes template. Anything out side of this area we
will not see.

Cheers,
Dirk

Hello Dirk,

yes, i am using just one email account on my iPhone and this
email account is my work email. No other account on Lotus
notes or iPhone.

situation is:

i am using my company work email @my_company_domain.com,
this email is configured on Lotus Notes. No other account on
Lotus notes. When I am opening Lotus notes i can see all
emails: from clients @clients.com, from friends @friends.com
and from my colleagues @my_company_domain.com

We have installed iAnywhere Mobile office, DMZ proxy server
(diferent servers) and iAnywhere application for iPhone. [do
we need any other applikation?]
When i open application on my iPhone to read my work
email,in inbox i see all emails which were send using
@my_company_domain, no email from @friends @clients only
@my_company_domain.
We did test, we configured email account on outlook using
DAMO connector. i sent myself a test letter using outlook
and my company email account, in Lotus notes i see this
email, but when i open ianywhere app on my iphone i cant see
this email.

How OBListener store emails from Domino DB? Maybe OBListener
use some special methodsto store emails?

Contacts and Calendars sync works fine.

Thank You for Your help

Hi Sarelis,

sorry, I must have missed you post.

I can rule out DAMO, as I am using it myself :-)

Can you find out if other iMO users are affected as well? This would
point to a domino problem.

What Domino Server version has the iMO server been installed upon?

Can you please explain again, what email are affected exactly and how
they are delivered to your Notes inbox? Are those emails come in through
your regular company email gateway, or are they collected otherwise?

Cheers,

Hi,

the issue you describe is not a port / connection problem. iMO does only
use one port for all data communication to the mobile device. So either
you get data or you don't.

This sounds like the additional emails are stored differently on the
Domino server. I would recommend to focus your search on how those other
emails get into the domino system and how are they stored in the mail
file of the user.

Without more facts and detials I would guess the additional data is
retrieved and stored separately only on the notes client. Would that
data be on the Domino Server we would sync it unless it is not part of
the regular notes template.

Cheers,
Dirk
