Hi,

I'd like to know if anyone has ever heard about any tool able to do
automatic bench on an ASE. What I'm looking for is a tool that will
simulate activities 'almost' automatically.

For example, for Oracle I'm using a tool called Hammerora. This tool is
used to simulate users activities on a database. The scenario can be
written manually (TK language) or we can provide an ORACLE trace file
(the file will content all SQL queries executed by someone or on a
database) that will be converted in TK. Then we select the number of
virtual user with a random wait-time then when we start the bench,
every virtual-user will execute the scenario.

Does anyone have any experien on such tool for Sybase?

Thanks

Hi

Did you try Apache JMeter tool (http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter)? While
it is not a database-dedicated tool, some of my customers use JMeter
with Sybase ASE quite successfully. JMeter can connect to ASE via JConnect.

Hope it helps
