Hi all,
I have a strange thing going on in my testing with WinForm smart client.

I'm on PB 11.5. Application is published on windows 7 x64 IIS7 with
ASE12-5_2 database EBF 11948.
Everything is setup nicely on two client machines. One is Windows 7 32 bits
and the other is XP SP3.
After succesfully logged in through a customised login window, the main
window that is supposed to come next is successfully shown only on Win7 but
failed to display on XP SP3. There is no error message and nothing is being
displayed at all. It simply exits the application silently.

I tried to narrow down the symptom and found out that if the main window is
without a dw control, it worked perfect. As soon as I put in a simple dw
control with simple datawindow object, it failed to display.

Is there anything that I missed on the setup on XP client?

Here's a shot in the dark: Is there a default printer defined for the
XP system? The DataWindows' rendering is dependent on the printer
driver, so I've seen cases where no default printer driver (or a flaky
printer driver) will cause problems.

Good luck,

Terry and Sequel the techno-kitten

Thank you Terry for your reply. An idea is much better than having no clue
at all as in my case. Well.. in this case printer driver is not the culprit.
Any other idea?
The funny thing is that I just have to put an empty datawindow control
without dataobject and the window fails to display.

Thank you in advance.
