Hi Guys,
Latest Advantage 10, D2010.

In ARC I can Get the remote server info with..

//123.456.789.012:6262/DBAlias/DBName.add

DBAlias is defined in adsserver.ini on the server machine.

I can see the ADS server the connections, the install info, DB
parameters, etc.

But, when I plug this address detail into a connection property and
try yo connect, it asks me for the user id an passwird, duly entered,
and I get a 7078 error.

I tried plugging the connection details in to a TADSConnection set Is
Connected to True, it tells me the TAdsConnection.AliasName isn't
valid. Huh?

What have I missed please?

Regards & TIA,

Ian

The remote server is running Windows NT if that makes any difference.
