Hi,

I need to shutdown a cluster, install ebf & restart the
cluster. This cluster has only one node at the this time. I
think the order to do this is as follows:

1. stop_agent (on all instances)
2. sybcluster - connect - shutdown cluster
3. verify server is down, install ebf
4. start ASE(s)
5. start_agent (on all instances)
6. sybcluster - connect - start cluster
7. verify with show cluster status (nodes & heartbeat OK)

sybcluster uses the agents to connect to the cluster. So you need to
change the order.

1. sybcluster - connect - shutdown cluster ( or just isql "shutdown
cluster"

2. stop all agents

3. verify server down, install ebf

4. to restart:
a. start agents
b. use sybcluster to start cluster / or instances

alternatively :

a. use a RUN file(s)

5. login and verify cluster status.
sybcluster - "show cluster status"
or
isql - "sp_cluster show"
