Hi Manuel,

When posting to the newsgroup, please provide as much information as
possible in order for us to help you:

1. What build and version of SQL Anywhere are you using? (dbsrv12 -v)
2. Which operating system are you using?
3. What is the command-line you're using to start the database server?
4. Are you trying to start a system service? If so, which user are you
using to run the service?

Please also try starting the database server with the "-z -o
console.txt" server console logging switches, and post the contents
here. (Please obscure any sensitive information -e.g. IP addresses - in
the output before posting).

Also:

- How was the database server stopped yesterday?
- Was there anything running that may prevented the database server from
properly shutting down yesterday?

Regards,
