I know this topic has been covered, but I am not sure I saw
any answer providing a resolution or a fix.

Since updating to the latest version on my iPhone 3GS, I
have had significant issues with this app. At first, I could
not synchronize with my Lotus Notes inbox. Following a
reinstallation of the software, I can now receive my
e-mails, but e-mails received prior to the reinstall are not
accessible. Also, I lost all of my contacts (both in the
iPhone app and Lotus Notes), my calendar does not reflect
pre-reinstall entries, and I now receive two notifications
upon receiving an e-mail.

Apologies if these issues have been previously addressed,
but I am hoping you can help.

Thanks,
Bridget

Also, the app icon on the home screen shows a really high
number of unread e-mails. This goes away once I access the
app, but it is just a bit odd.

Seems the original client got somehow not installed correctly or got
otherwise stuck in the update process. Maybe reregistering could have
helped and avoided the reinstall.

I can now receive my

Try to increase the inbox filtering from 7 days to something higher.
Default setting is that only the emails of the last 7 days remain on the
device.

Also, I lost all of my contacts (both in the
> iPhone app and Lotus Notes),
I do not have an explanation for this one. Maybe you deleted the
contacts on the mobile device yourself by accident or some other third
party software and that change got synced into the backend.
Or you got caught in the localisation bug and in the process of trying
to fix things the data got lost.

my calendar does not reflect
> pre-reinstall entries,
This is works as designed with MobileOffice. The product only transfers
the the current calendar onto the device. As time moves on, the calendar
ages and slowly populates the past entries up to 100 (default setting).

and I now receive two notifications
> upon receiving an e-mail.
Depends on what your are doing in Notes. Every change in the backend
will trigger a notification. A new email will trigger one notification
and so will a change to the read flag of this email also trigger a
notification.
So opening an email will get you an additional notification onto the device.
