Is there any way for setting the app to have push mail? I
can't find it in the settings menu

The iPhone client does not support "push" mail. The program must be
running in the foreground to access email.

The latest client does support both badges and notifications. Badges
are the little number that appear on the icon, telling the user how many
messages are waiting to download. Notifications are the text box that
pops up saying that you have new mail. To the user this looks a lot
like push mail, but it isn't the same thing.

To set up badges or notifications you need a certificate from Apple (as
the notifications go through Apple on the way to the iPhone) so they
don't work "out of the box". There are details on this in the
installation documents.

Does that answer your question?
