I have a logical copy of an ASE 12.5 server installation
including the .dat and configuration files. I am trying to
load one of the databases onto a new server with ASE 12.5
installed. The original server is a sun server and the new
one is running ubuntu. Is this possible? Can someone point
me to or provide instructions on how to do this?

Do you have backups (database dumps), or the actual device files?
If the latter I think it's going to be really difficult to achieve.

Hello.
If the file systems and filesystem paths are the same on
both servers and also the copy of the devices. Dat do it
cold or quiescent mode, you have opportunities that
migration is successful.

Are you talking about the same Operating System. The actual files are
written differently on different OS's.
