Our corporation is in process of implementing Afaria and
Lotus Traveler. Anyone have experience deploying Lotus
Traveler using Afaria onto iPhones? I want a way to control
the deployment of traveler and mandate afaria. You do not
get PIM data unless afaria is installed.

This feature is not yet supported for Lotus Domino installations - only MS
Exchange.
It is on the roadmap for the near future.

Actually we have been able to get it to work. It appears
traveler uses a similar format for remote sync so all we had
to do is create an exchange active sync profile with our
traveler details. Now we can push the traveler policy and
remove it all with two clicks similar to how they show it in
the IOS4 demo video.

Yes - Lotus Traveler is just an ActiveSync gateway, so they work very
similarly under the covers.
You can create an Exchange ActiveSync policy that provisions the Traveler
account information on the device, but you can't (yet) control access to the
Domino server for non-compliant devices (as you can with Exchange Access
Control).
