Hi

I have search around and found out the source of my problem,
but not the fix...

List of Fixes for EBF 17156:
EBFID BUGID
16736 561072

For a select query, if the different columns are
being selected and aliased to the same correlation
name, it fails to raise 7348 error. For example,
The following queries should raise an error:
select a.col1 'name', b.col1 'name' from a, b
order by name select a.col1 'name', b.col1 'name'
from a, b
----------------------
Targeted CR List for ASE 15.0.3 ESD#2:
561072 For a select query, if the different columns are
being selected and aliased to the same correlation name, it
fails to raise 7348 error. For example, The following
queries should raise an error: select a.col1 'name', b.col1
'name' from a, b order by name select a.col1 'name', b.col1
'name' from a, b

Hibernate produces a select statement that needs to have
the same alias.

Is there any way to allow this code after 15.0.3 ESD#2?

Pål

CR 561072 doesn't have a traceflag to revert to previous behavior,
so probably no. How are the aliased used downstream from the
select, are they just column headers in a report? If so, a possible
workaround may be to have the query add an additional space after the
alias for each column.

select
a.col1 'name',
a.col1 'name '
a.col1 'name ',
