hello all!

I need to build a shell script to export a csv file nightly
from my ASA v 10.1. All I can find is how to open
intractive sql via command line. I have created a sql
script using interactive sql naming it phone_dialer.sql
now I need to create a csv file with commandline. I just
cannot find how to do it.

So can someone show me what I am missing in my thought
process?

I have a database named "work" and a table within called
"appointments".... according to sybase central, it is
located within "servoy_repository".

I need to export the name, phone, etc nightly.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Steve

See the Interactive SQL OUTPUT statement:
http://dcx.sybase.com/index.html#html/dbugen10/ug-load-s-4183756.html

There is a section at the bottom "To export data to a CSV file" that
describes the statements. You'll need to create a .SQL script with the
required SQL statements, and then run
dbisql -c <connection string> read <.SQL script>
(for example:)
dbisql -c uid=dba;pwd=sql read export_csv.sql
