I need to know at runtime whether the data source of a
datawindow is SQL or not (external, stored procedure, web
service etc).

in PB i can use
describe("datawindow.table.Select.Attribute") which will
return the sql text if sql source, otherwise nothing
(possibly a single character) if it is an external, stored
proc, etc. Appeon always returns an empty string.

is there a way in appeon to get the data source?

Hi m. searer,

Could you use this datawindow property to work around this
issue?
Describe("DataWindow.Table.Select")
