Hi Experts,

Does anyone know if/when ASE is going to have the capability of
returning a table from a user defined function? We are currently on ASE
15.5 which can only return scalar values.

How would you use such a function - these are normally used a scalar
context. In a non-scalar context you would normally use a temp table, and
then fill this in a stored proc.

That said, I agree that having the ability to pass arrays or table-like
variables around would be quite nice.
