Hi,

I'm planning to install ASE 15 in a virtual machine using
VMWare vCenter Server 4.1 with Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
The OS will be Solaris 10.
For storage (filesystem with direct IO) it will be used
EMC Celerra NS-120 (equivalent to Clariion CX4-120).

What I would like to know is if someone has already tried
this configuration, if it's supported, has problems or even
if it's recommended.
I have made some search on the internet but didn't find
anything yet.

Any information will be welcome.

Many Thanks

Hi

Yes Sybase is running fine on VMware, on Win2008 for me but Celerra
storage is more NAS oriented and from my experience, for fileshares.
Clariion or VMax are more recommended for DBMS usage.

My 2 cents

Emmanuel
