Hi,

I have a view defined as "select ... from table1 where x=.."
I have an application that is doing inserts thru this view
which represents a table of 1.4 million rows. I am trying to
find a high cpu/memory issue with a connection pool spid. My
question is does the insert via the view cause the view to
be rematerialized? If so, this is probably my problem as the
view shows all the records in the 1.4M row table (the where
clause is selecting all records).

Thx,
rick_806

No, there is nothing materialized about a view. This is a 'normal' view
as opposed to a 'materialized view', which ASE currently does not support.
