This is related to semantic table partitioning. I suggest you do some
reading rather than me copying the documentation into a post...
"Best for performance" is a question that neve rhas a simple answer:
ever performance feature is a tradeoff between various aspects, so it
all depends what your workload, data, schema and requirements look like.
