We have upgrade ASA from 10.0 to 12.0.1.3152 and we are
seeing an issue with a SQL statement that utilizes an UNION.
The 1st query when it runs by itself returns 1 row and the
2nd query returns 0 rows. But, when run together with a
UNION it seems to return a CROSS JOIN of a table in the FROM
clause, we get over 2000 rows return. The joins are all
inner joins a. Is there a change in 12.0.1 that could
affect the UNION?

Thanks,

Kevin

Yes, there is a bug affecting UNION in 12.0.1, if you have joins in the
unioned queries which use ON conditions. Writing the queries with equivalent
WHERE clauses may avoid the issue. A fix is pending and will be released in
an EBF when complete.
