Hello,
I try to deploy a PowerBuilder (PB12) application without installation
on an USB stick. Therefore I want to connect to ASA via JDBC.

I run the program from a batch-file and set the PATH to a JRE
(jPortable_6) and the CLASSPATH before starting my PB-program

PATH=%PATH%;%CD%\java
SET CLASSPATH=%CD%\pbjdbc12115.jar;%CD%\DB\jodbc.jar
start mypbprogram.exe

It runs fine on a machine where ASA11 is installed.
But on a clean machine I get an connection error:

SQLDBCode:160
SQLErrTest_SQLSTATE = IM003
Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 126
(SQLAnywhere 11)
SQLCA.dbms:JDBC

What do I miss?
Does JDBC need registry entries or other files in the CLASSPATH or PATH?

The database server it self runs when I start it separately. And the
PowerBulder programms starts, when I write it without database connect.

TIA
Ludwin

C:\>net helpmsg 126

The specified module could not be found.

The SA JDBC driver (jodbc.jar) is actually a Type-2 driver, meaning that
there is a managed and unmanaged component. In addition to the JAR being
present, the native DLL (dbjodbc11.dll) must also be present in the PATH.

See:

JDBC does not require registry entries. The files listed in the
'Deployment' link above must be present.
