Dear all
Today, my ASE15.0.3 EBF#4 met an error of MSG 624---
00:00000:00316:2011/12/02 09:39:57.73 server Error: 624,
Severity: 21, State: 1
00:00000:00316:2011/12/02 09:39:57.73 server Adaptive
Server failed to retrieve a row via its RID in database
'fawpmmo0' because the requested RID has a higher number
than the last RID on the page. Rid pageid = 0x2b00d0; row
num = 0x58. Page pointer = 0x267798000, pageno = 2818256,
status = 0x1, ptnid = 8, indexid = 0, level = 0.

Since this is page error on syslogs, I rebuilt the
syslogs of fawpmmo0 and the db come back to life. But soon,
I found the "sp_helpdb fawpmmo0" shows something wierd--
"log only free kbytes = 16157304" which I thought it should
be incorrect. Then I used "sp_spaceused syslogs" to have a
check. it shows:
name total_pages free_pages used_pages
reserved_pages
--------------- --------------- ---------------
--------------- ---------------
syslogs 1024000 2019661 -995661
0

I remember this once I used ASE11.9.2 in 2003, at that time,
I used traceflag 7409 and dbcc gam(dbid,0,0,'fix') to fixed
that issue. But this time, when I do the same, the fix
failed... the used_pages still shows the negative one. Does
anyone know why and how to solve this? Thanks.

Best Regards
Eisen

I tried with traceflag 7408 and dbcc sysgam() today... But
the sp_spaceused syslogs still shows wrong value.
