Hi,

I just browse through the features of Sybase ASE 15.7, and just know
there is a feature of encrypted column feature. I am not sure this
feature is already included in previous release of ASE? But this feature
seems really useful for protecting sensitive data from being accessed
without proper authorization.

May someone know this feature requires to be purchased separate? Or it
is included in the enterprise package?

Thanks in advance,
Ray

Hi,

Bret, Thanks for your reply.

May I know if this is a included feature or need to purchase a separate
license to enable this? Because some guys in my company told me about this.

Thanks,

The encrypted column option is free in the developer edition of ASE.

The encrypted column option is not available in the express and small business editions of ASE.

The encrypted column option requires an additional fee/license for the enterprise and cluster editions of ASE.
