I am ready to install our app built in Delphi using ADs10.x and am need of
"ADS install for Dummies". I have 2 situations to install. 1 is a
peer-to-peer with a Windows 7 desktop (as the main) and a Windows XP
desktop. The other is a mix of machine O/S in a conventional Windows SBS
2008 with a Terminal Services Server as a client. Where can I find the
tutorial? You made it sound so easy at the conferences - now I am a deer in
the headlights after reading through some of the posts in this newsgroup.
Thanks in advance.

Simply put, install the Advantage Database Server on the "server", place
data on the "server", install the application on the client, point the
application to the data.

Do you have anything in particular you are struggling with?

There are numerous ways to setup in situations such as listed.
For example does your app require a share or use server side alias, or
does it use RightChecking, does it run from the data folder or is it
installed on each desktop, are firewalls involved, etc?

If you have anything specific we may be able to give a more detailed answer.
