Interested if anyone has encountered this or if it is a
known issue
two node multiplex A (coord) and B (writer)
failure of A and failed over to B as new coordinator
after two days failure of B and had to create new server and
reload from dumps - full from A plus incremental since full
on B
load of full dump OK but load of incremental failed as was
taken from different coordinator
There is nothing documented on this 'bug' that I can find.
Anyone come across this?

Hello John

Hope you are doing good :-). What is the exact version IQ ?. Also when you
failed over to B(writer), did you run B in simplex mode or you recovered A
( old coordinator) and ran A as a writer ? In case while taking
incremental backup on B if you were running with A as writer, chances are
that you have hit a bug. In this case, A(writer) may contain incomplete
checkpoint information causing restores of these incremental backups to
fail.

You might want to go through below mentioned CRs
