Hi Van;

I have not seen any mobility features in the PB 15 Road Map versions
that I have reviewed thus far. Given SAP's push to use SUP - I cannot
see PowerBuilder adding any mobility features. I say that because I
think (big guess here) that internally, it would be too hard a sell to
senior management to build a competitive featured mobility product
(short sighted as I think that would be).

There is an HTML5 DataWindow Server feature on the horizon and John
Strano will be talking about this in great detail at the up coming OSUG
meeting ( http://chrispollach.blogspot.ca/2012/03/osug20120524.html ).
As for the "Mobile Analytics Kit" - that was one thing that Dave Fish
had eluded to last year. As far as I could see that was a new product
all together and not related to PowerBuilder. Now I may have that all
wrong - so hopefully, someone at Sybase can jump in here and add some
more accurate insights <bg>.

The Appeon Mobile product though I see as an alternative to SUP.
Given the cost and complexity of SUP - Appeon Mobile (to me) could
easily satisfy the small to medium sized business needs. SUP is an
amazing product and definitely lends itself towards the large IT
customer sites. Although, in the large IT shops - I can easily see both
products co-existing and even in fact being complementary. :-)

The MAKit is a library available with SUP 2.1.2. It is currently not
available in any other product, or standalone, from Sybase or SAP.

Hi Dave;

Exactly what is MAKit and potentially what could that do for the
average PB developer's application?

Thanks ... Chris

The new features section describes MAKit's features. It can't be used
with PowerBuilder applications (not yet anyway).
